Dear Ray,
I write you this letter on day 30 of not smoking
since receiving the “stop-smoking” injections
in your office. I must say that I was a non-believer,
and really didn’t think that this treatment
would work for me.
I was a 1 pack a day smoker for nearly 25 years.
Over the years I have attempted to quit, either
cold turkey or with patches…with no
success and with many requests to start smoking
again after making everyone around me miserable
from the extreme irritability I suffered.
A smoking friend of mine who had suddenly become
a non-smoker referred me to you and your program.
I was intrigued but actually thought I was
a heavier smoker than she was so I wouldn’t
have the same success. Well, I was wrong…I
just returned from Las Vegas, and sat next
to, and across from “smokers”…for
4 days. I can honestly say that I had thought
I was really going to be suffering without
a cigarette, but I walked out the casino a
happy, non-smoker (who stunk like cigarettes
even though I didn’t smoke).
Something that I had not admitted until now
was that I secretly would have loved to stay
a smoker…I loved cigarettes and smoking.
The day of the injections, you asked me if
I really wanted to quit and I said yes. I didn’t
really, and actually thought that would sabotage
me quitting, but I am here to say that even
if you don’t really want to quit smoking
it can be a success.
I cannot thank you and Dr. Kochan enough for
what your program has done for me.
